Fisher Roulette Strategy

The Fisher roulette strategy delays a tripling progression until four consecutive losses. It does not overcome the house edgemathHouse edgeThe share of each stake the casino keeps on average: 2.70% in European roulette.Read full →.

Short answer

The rule makes four wagers at each stake before tripling: 5 × 4, then 15 × 4, then 45 × 4. A win resets to the base stake.

Rule as described

The Fisher progressionstrategyProgressionAny rule that changes the stake based on previous results. Negative progressions raise it after losses, positive after wins.Read full → repeats an even-money base wager for four losses, then triples it for the next four, then triples it again for the next four; a win resets the stake to base. With a $5 base, that is four $5 wagers, four $15 wagers, then four $45 wagers.

Worked example

Start with $5 on redbetRedEven-money bet on the 18 red numbers. French: rouge.Read full →. Four losses cost $20, so wagers five through eight are $15 each. Eight losses therefore cost $80; the ninth wager is $45, not a stake made immediately after the fourth loss. If that ninth bet wins, it gains $45 but remains $35 behind across the run. A win resets the next stake to $5, but it does not retrospectively recover every prior loss.
