Side bet
An optional extra wager attached to the main game, usually on a streak, a bonus event or a jackpot. Almost always dearer than the standard bets.

A $2 side bet at a 25% edge earns the casino the same 50 cents as a $100 bet at 0.5%, which is why the small optional bet is where the margin is.
